Default Unknown Badge for Identification

Hi all,
Came across the badge while sorting out some jewellery for my grandparents and wondered if anyone knew the meaning behind it. Only thing I can find on the internet is an ebay listing of it that describes it as military but not sure how accurate this is. Does anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks,
Mary

It is clearly connected with "Geordieland" with the crests representing Northumbria, the City of Durham and the city of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I doubt it has anything to do with the Military.
