Default WRAC ITEM

I have seen an item described as "Vintage WRAC Regimental Dress Ladies 1950s Women's Royal Army Corps Brass Buttons"
The label on the item (Pic 1) has a modern NSN so it cannot be "Vintage" or "1950s" or am I wrong?
Also I cannot make out the monarch on the buttons (Pic 2 & 3) Can you help?

Found a thread on another site which has approximate contract dates , based on numerous issued items :

Quote:
A/78 - early-mid 1960s to 1979
A/78/CLO/40314/ - Is roughly 1972-1973.

Listing does state :
Quote:
The dress is in a good condition for age, although the original regimental brass buttons have been removed and replaced with Edward V1 (Christ Hospital School) steel buttons.

13 Digit NATO Stock Number (NSN) date from c1974 mainly for computerisation purposes before that they were 5 Digit Stock Numbers preceded by a Vocabulary Section (ie CB for clothing)

Did the WRAC wear dresses? I have only seen them in skirt, shirt, tie and tunic.

The dress also seems to be more of a tweed in coloring, which seems odd for a uniform.

Clearly used by the Schools CCF at a later date, cadet use being quite common. I have a picture of the uniform in use with Wiltshire ACF.

Here is another (in a larger size!) with NSN
The ‘tweedy’ effect of the fabric is strange.

In the 1970's in RAOC Stores units the WRAC who worked in the sheds wore a form of Battledress Slacks with Blouse with Office and HQ staff wearing Green Skirts with shirt & tunic (with pullover just coming into service)

Edited to add - WRAC Junior Ranks working in store shed offices also wore Battledress Skirts! I believe it was known as 1951 Pattern Battledress Women's and simerlar to the wartime ATS Battledress
