Default Gold Anodised Yorkshire Bde/Volunteers

For the AA collectors amongst us: I found this on ebay recently and almost passed it by before realising what it was.

Chris Marsh shows an example of this badge in his book on page 115 and goes on to describe it as 'A Yorkshire Brigade/Volunteers cap badge just before its second colouring process. The black stop off paint will prevent the previously gold coloured crown and scroll being 'Over written' when the next colour dye which, for this badge, will be silver.'

An interesting find and it will make a great addition to my collection, and just like the one shown by Chris in his book this one is manufactured by Marples and Beasley.

Three photos, if i manage to post them correctly.

Regards
Steve
