i wonder if anyone can help with the identification of this pair of titles, i aquired them in a job lot i bought from ebay before christmas.
the rest of the brass titles i bought were all west and east riding of yorkshire.
i don`t know if that is a clue to their identity.

Default LUSCC titles

Good morning,

An informed guess would suggest Latymer Upper School Cadet Corps. Recognised 1916 in Hammersmith, West London and affiliated to 13th (County of London) Bn, London Regt (later Princess Louise's/ Phantom etc).

My reasoning for the tentative identification is that Ray Westlake's Collecting Metal Shoulder Titles shows the school using the intitials LUSCC as a title (fig 1524) but in a much fancier manner.

Hope this helps, Stephen.

it is a shame though they are not from a yorkshire school etc ,i think i was hoping the L. in the title might be somthing like leeds etc ,ah well that is one for the sell/swap box.

Default LUSCC

Andy,

Just a wild guess- Were Latymer Upper School evacuated from London in 1940 (as many were) and did they end up in Yorkshire?

Regards, Stephen.

Default Unidentified titles

Hi Andy,
I did a bit of surfing and found a couple of entries for Latymer School during WW2. One school was evacuated to Clacton and another site mentions High Wycombe- sadly for you, not Yorks.

If the cadets were in Clacton I might be interested in the titles- pm me if they become available please.

Regards, Stephen.
