Thought I would keep the thread alive with a few more Gunners badges. These from His Exalted Highness the Nizam of Hyderabad's Artillery

Here's an Artillery badge that I've had on here before. I described it as possibly a Plaid brooch. Well I was wrong I was looking through some of my old Gunner Magazines and found this picture. So here it is A Pipe Majors Badge from 40 Field Regiment RA (The Lowland Gunners) circa 1990.

TynesideIrish, That's a rare piece and certainly in the spirit of this thread "The gun badge", and I thought my 56Bty piece was rare! (it's a two part badge as opposed to the 58th shown) You have me there. What else will you show us?

Tyneside,
Most interesting and might explain a couple of Liverpool Irish (R.A.) items from an earlier period ie one off headdress badges for pipe majors

Do you have a period during which these excellent badges were worn and on what?

Thanks DJ. Good examples of scarce CEF badges.

This is the only one I have in my NZ collection.

Bronze WWI Officers Badges I believe at a cost of NZ$45.00 so quite happy with that.

Hope you like it.

Default Unrecognised royal artillery badge

I have just found a box of anodised badges which I thought I had lost some years ago in a house move. In the box I found this large cap badge. Anodised aluminium/staybright (but dull). I have looked through the threads but cannot see anything like it. Is is the real thing or just another banger?Does any member of the Forum recognise this badge?

It looks to be one of the early AA cap badges.

Thanks for that. I should have said that it is dull silver in colour and not gold despite the colour on the images.
