Oi it was talking to you two kunckleheads that started it so go look in a mirror, i thought collecting Cavalry and Yeomanry was bad but this seems a right mess lol

JERRY !! You have no right doing that to Mike_2817, you are a very naughty boy. He was asking if anyone had one spare, not show me a picture of one !!

If I find one around Mike_2817, you'll be the first to know.

Now as for you Jerry, "Go and stand in the corner, and face the wall" over there.
(tut,tut,tut)

Great pages of the RLC badges, ........... thank you

Ken

Have seen one or two around, but never for sale/trade. Was asked to ID one at the MHS meet at Derby the other weekend as well - ah well

Answer, stand as far away from the door in a round room, and go to bed with no supper.

But I forgive you.

As for the badge, one will find its way to me one day, along with the one I have never seen before!

really helpful posts for this badge thank you. Regarding the anodised versions - are they made by anyone other than Toye? (TKS). I'm sure I have seen a London Badge and Button version in A/A but I could be wrong.

Now, I have an all silver version of the RLC cap badge in A/A. It is the same design as the RLC we know but the dimensions seem different and the star at the rear of the badge is not as 'sharp' in relief as is usually seen. There is no makers name on the slider. I will try and post an image at the weekend.

Any ideas anyone?

Regards all

Bess

See earlier posts for other maker marks.

A/A badges without a maker mark are mostly made for the collectors market.

Shouldn't this be in the "Other Army Departments and Corps Badges" section?

Rgds,

Thomas.

I have only seen Anodised marked TKS with LB&B, Ammo&Co & Firmin being Gilt/Metal only in both Silver/Gold & Coloured for LB&B & Firmin, Silver/Gold only for Ammo&Co

Not seen an All Silver AA version and will be interested where it came from.

Also seen a recent manufactured All Black in metal reported to be worn by Commando Brigade RLC?
Also seen in RE, RA & REME

Here is a picture of the different types. I have in there a pewter version for presentations. There is also a sand coloured one and I have never seen an all silver A/A badge.

Yes I do have a small (collar size) and large (cap size) Pewter badges for presentation pieces, but as they are not intended to be worn did not mention them.

I also have 5 different colour backing Officers Bullion Badges.
