Default Royal Corps of Signal Lcl L.V Younie Service Dress

Bonsoir

This SD belonged to a Royal Corps of Signal officer, LCL LV Younie who served as Lt during the WWI with the 7th Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.

WWI War medal, Victory medal avec mention in dispatches, Iraq and Kurdistan, Burma 1930-32, 1939-45 Star, Italy Star, Defence and War Medal 1939-45.

This jacket comes from a large grouping unfortunately spread. If someone has items named to the LCL LV Younie.
In any case, hope you enjoy.

Cheers

V

I never fail to be amazed by the coincidences that occur in (relatively small ) world of mititaria.

I bought on E bay a couple of weeks ago some pictures, bedplate, badges and a medal ( I.S.M. ) to a Kingsman ( originally from Liverpool ) who became a Postman on the Isle of Man after his army service.

Last week I had an E mail ( through E bay ) from someone who has a lot of paperwork to the same man but amazingly the sender of the E mail was someone I have known for years and who did not know it was me he was E mailing.

P.B.

Bonjour Julian,

Sorry for this late answer but I was far from any computers these last months. It'll be a pleasure if you could post some pictures from this officer.

Thank you

Valery

Hi Julian. Hope you get this. I am looking for items or copies of items especially photos of Lewis Younie who was married to my grandmother. Are you able to sell or copy anything that might be of interest to me.
