Hi Bill, thank you very much for your quick reply. Yes the two appear very similar in construction, although the one I have seems to have a much tighter weave in the backing material. So this patch would be of British manufacture? Thanks again.

Yes these patches are Brit made. The formation was overseas, and by 1942 they were not getting their patches from Canada.
