Did this go cheap? or was it a steal? also how often do they appear? as 1st I have ever seen! and I guess the million dollar question is what ought to be a good price? cheers billy

Don't have mine handy but it looks like (at least from the design...) it might be the centre of a waistbelt or at least is based on the design. I'm just not sure those devices were even hallmarked though. Nice badge.

Default Inniskilling sweetheart

Hi

The attachment shows a similar badge in my collection.

It has the same overall design but mine has a gilt surrounding wreath.

I assume these badges are early sweethearts made after the Boer War.

They are quite scarce items and £75 is a very good price for the buyer!
