Default Boer War Title to the 6th

Guys,
Recently I had luck in picking this badge up.
Description was a shoulder title.
Dimensions are 51mm x 21mm
Can this be confirmed, i.e. is it a Shoulder title rather than a slouch hat badge.
I've not handled one of these before, and they don't come up that often on TM to learn from.
Help much appreciated.
Many thanks
James.

Super piece James,
Titles like this were often worn on slouch hats during the Anglo Boer War, yours is a lovely example, rare too, you tend to just see the mounted rifles and rough riders these days and even those are qite scarce.
Regards Frank

Many thanks Frank.
Attached is another find... I hope along the same lines, but maybe this is a shoulder title or collar?
36mm x 13mm
All brass, with the looped lugs.
Is it the same vintage/era and to the 4th Contingent?

All the best

James

Hello James,
Yes, I like that one too, very nice indeed and again rather rare, you refered to "TM" in your other post, I take it that would be, trade me?
Regards again Frank

Hello Frank,
Yes, TM = Trademe...
Thanks very much for the feedback... the 4th was a bit of a find off a dealer's table in the UK. He wasn't sure what it was, and I took a punt and grabbed it for 6 pounds. He also had the attached, which I was able to buy for 18 pounds each. I have tried many times to get their compatriots (i.e. Canterbury, Otago and Wellington), but no luck....
Again, thanks for your help.
All the best
James...
