Thanks for showing them. Both look (nickel?) plated, see the lugs and slider.

I understand from previous threads that WM corps badges are associated with attachment to armored units.

I'll try again using a better camera.

Interesting, the officers die cast lugged badge, normally in gilt, is silver plated?
The OR's die stamped and slidered badge is nickel plated.

Rgds,

Thomas.

I picked up a nickel plated Pioneer Corps a few weeks ago.
Some utter cad sniped me on ebay for a nickel plated Catering Corps
a few months back, I'm still not fully recovered from that incident.

Here's my ORs plated (not in very good condition) and a WM collar which I assume is officers. Never seen another, so if anyone has a spare give me a shout! Could do with a better cap badge example too.

Both look standard G/M to me.
I was under the impression these first design REME collars were the same size as cap badges, but with E/W lugs instead of a slider?

Rgds,

Thomas.

Thomas. Bad photo I'm afraid. As stated the cap badge has been plated and the collar is definately WM with 'silver' lugs running NS. I have other OR collars in brass with copper lugs and they all run EW.

I have two GM OR Collars which have lugs E/W and also an OSD with lugs E /W and all three are smaller than the cap badge.

I have quite a few collars , mostly bronzed , and a GM all the same size and lugged EW but I have a collar in GM slightly larger also lugged EW , your's is the first one I've seen lugged NS. I'll try some pics tomorrow.
