ARMY DENTAL/ROYAL ARMY DEDTAL CORPS
This Corps started me on my badge collecting. Having qualified in 1973, some of my colleagues joined the army. I thought that I might have got some free badges from them but this never happened. I have quite a comprehensive collection to this Corps including one of my prized items ADC Officers' bullion badge (obtained from Mike Wood Leeds) I hear a sigh from older members.
Two items I have missed over the years and was wondering whether they are in any members' collections ? 1. A plastic ?? ADC badge. This was from the Frank Stevens collection, apparently made by dental technicians from an impression of an original badge. 2. An Officers helmet plate ADC. Back in 1983, Dennis Wood was selling a large collection on behalf of a Trust fund. I purchased most of the Wiltshire items from this collection. He wrote to me asking me would I be interested in buying it. At that time I was spent out and could not find anything out about this item anyway. Some time later, I visited the museum in Aldershot and was talking to the Curator. He said that he thought that 2 were made for the Coronation but, did not have one in the collection. Any information on the above ? |

ADC HP
Hi,
I collect Medical, Dental and Nursing corps insignia and have a small collection of RADC insignia. The AMS museum has on display a full dress uniform of an ADC officer. I have attached a pic of the blue cloth helmet with the helmet plate. It is identical to ASC helmet plate except the ASC has been replaced with a silvered ADC. I would love to have one of these in my collection along with a pair of gilt ADC collar badges. Please post some pictures of your ADC/RADC collection. Regards Steven |

With respect to Mike Wood, was he the chap who used to produce lists on which he always spelt "collars" as " collers" or am I getting him confused with someone else ?
P.B.
