Hi Peter,

Personally I am not to keen. I think that you will see a slight imperfection on the crown. You will often see this badge with RND or MMG titles. Of course this is just my opinion and I am always willing to be corrected.

Any chance of a close up of the crown?

Andy

Peter,
if you are going to have a crack at it, make sure the seller takes returns, as you may find it's a restrike, the shape of the slider, lack of reverse detail and a no elipse to the base of the crown are all "Bad" signs! It appears to have been "Aged" too, with some not so convincing "Rust Spots"?

This is one of my listings, MGC Badge but 100% genuine!

Thanks Andyh and Andy. Don't think that I will be able to get a better pic of the crown, but I think that it is better left because I do not think that he will accept returns. I will check your listing Andy.
Thanks,
Peter.

Peter,

I have an album of MGC badges etc. If you look at the cap badges there are several different strikes. I have another to add when I get time to photograph and upload it. I hope this helps.

Thanks Andyh, Nice selection of clear pics, a great help.
2747andy, I seem to have received Andyh's Album pics in your post, must have crossed wires somewhere!
Thanks,
Peter.

Thanks Andy, I had no idea that there were that many different MGC badges. I saw one at a fair recently and a chap was asking £85 for it. The one posted comes up in a local auction this week and so I posted it to see if is was OK. 2747Andy is however selling one at a much more reasonable price than the one for sale at the fair. I am now puzzling if different types of these badges vary in price, some being more expensive than others?
Thanks,
Peter.

£85 is an absolute rip off. The MGC was a large Corps and the badges are not that uncommom Even a MMG version witht eh MGC title attached is not that dear.

Bosleys had this one for sale http://www.buywyze.com/shop.php in their shop for reference.

Thank Alan,
I thought it a bit pricey, so didn't purchase it, though I had no idea what they went for at that time. I will check out your link.
Thanks,
Peter.
