Default E Jones Button

Hello all,

I'm new here & happened upon your site whilst trying to glean information on a button I found yesterday.

The button in question has the following inscription: E Jones, Cork Hill, Dublin Opposite Castle.

From what I've read on here, E Jones was in business at that address up until January 1st, 1822, whereupon William Jones became sole proprietor.

The front of the coin appears to have a lions (?) face atop a six-segmented rope.

I'm guessing this rope has some significance, as I've seen it on many Livery buttons whilst browsing/searching.

I have already learned a lot from you site & am grateful for such.

I managed to compress one photo side of the button down to adhere to the 117.2 KB limit but it fails me at this hour to compress the other side.

Appreciate your time, thank you.
