Default REME cast shoulder title

Hello all,

I have a REME shoulder title which appears to be cast brass, it has rough edges and a couple of holes on the front. I cannot see one like it in Westlake, it is about ½” high, so I don’t think it is either 504 or 505. It looks similar to 506 but this has full stop marks after each letter. Are these usually stamped rather than cast and does it look right ?

Thanks for in advance for all replies – regards Alan Y.

Default Workshop made?

With the facilities available to REME tradesman I wouldn't be in the least surprised if these were made in the unit workshop. Here's another weirdo. Any ideas (and I was in REME)

Possibly worn by a WO on the KD or OG Jacket or Shirt. Some of these garments had narrow shoulder straps, and there was a period when WO's wore the old large titles.

Thanks REMEVMBEA1,

I was hoping it was a good title, it looked a bit unusual to me as I don’t think I have many other cast ones.

Regards Alan Y.
