Royal Corps of Signals Sealed Pattern
Hi Guys,
I need to see an example of this pattern card be it Standard or Master: http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/30075232 I have tried to get an image from the Imperial War Museum but no joy. The badge is made in gilding metal and white metal with Queen's Crown. If anyone has an image can they please post here. Regards Chris |

Yes probably but I also need to see the plate (especially the plate) and pin of the badge as per the pattern card. One question that may help me if you have access to the back of the badge - does the figure of Mercury have one or two lugs? The lug(s) will probably be stamped sheet lying horizontally to allow the lug cut out to accomodate a split pin to be passed through it when entered from above. Regards Chris |

Hi Magpie,
Sort of. Do you have a GM/WM QC version of this with plate and pin? Regards Chris |

Yes it is a an early version of the badge which came without plate and pin where the slider is integral with the crown passing through twin lugs on the figure of mercury. Patten No. I'm after is 13788A with sealing date pre March 1955. Badge may be GM/WM as per IWM description but may also have squeezed through as A/A. Regards Chris |

Royal Signals 1954-55
Dear Chris.
I probably have the plate and pin in a bag with serveral dozen back plates and pins. Unfortunately I could not identify one back plate from another, sorry. The badge is now in a fixed frame that I can not easilly get too. I hope there may be someone else who can provided the visual information you reguire. Sorry Chris Walker I can take a better photo of the badge if you wish as I can take the glass from off the frame it is in if that is any use. |
