Louth School OTC
Since the present lockdown I have been having a sort out of boxes and found this badge, Louth School OTC. Obviously brand new and came with other items from a collection I bought.
My question is, could the school OTC still be wearing this badge, or is it as I suspect a dud? OTC is not really my interest. Thanks in advance. Rob |

Louth School OTC
Luke, do you know when the school wore this badge?
As it was brand new that was my first thought that it was a dud, but not knowing much about schools I thought I would ask others. Many thanks Rob Last edited by Sonofacqms; 05-03-21 at 02:20 PM. |

Sorry I cannot tell you when these we worn until due to not collecting OTCs. Perhaps Alan or another OTC collector can chip in? Do recall Alan saying it was very small, just 50 members in 1908.
However, I can tell it’s the common and obvious clown face fake with poor coarse seeding, used to make on many Lincolnshire Regiment, their Volunteer Battalions, plus also Louth OTC and Grantham OTC fakes. Also beware of the Johnny Cash fake! Discussed in many, many threads, and in posts #3, #9 & #21 here... https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ighlight=Louth Last edited by Luke H; 05-03-21 at 03:07 PM. Reason: Addition |
