Possibly Irish?
This one came in with several other Irish patches. Anyone know who wore it please?

Thanks for the suggestion, Tarabelle. Having looked on Wikipedia, the bird does look like the one shown in the badge there, but reversed. unless anyone else has a definite identification, I shall assume it is the arm badge for the Irish Air Force as you suggest.
Thanks Fred |

Irish Defence Forces, Air Corps HQs worn on left sleeve when the Air Corps was dressed in green as per the Army. Worn 1985-1994. Ceased to be worn when the Air Corps adopted blue uniforms.
James Perkins' web site is not longer very actively maintained and updated but still lots of data and as a former collector of IDF insignia and I know of James the data is very reliable. http://www.irishmilitaryinsignia.com...ash_index.html John |
