Default SAS wings

Hi all,

I've just come across a stall on my local market where the guy is trying to sell a uniform which was a 1970's combat jacket, a kf shirt, a pair of trousers that looked a bit like the dark green barack dress ones but weren't, a pair of olive trousers (again old style combat trousers), an officers forage cap, and some sort of high leg boots.

The shirt and jumper both has sas wings on which he let me photograph.

Any thoughts?

He wanted £120 for the lot.

Michael

Default Personally I think that is too expensive

Unless you are keen on some common wings but with a complete kit I wouldn't bother mate.

That Colonel's rank slide is unusual with G.S.C. = General Service Corps - but worth less than £5.00
Was any of the clothing named?

Wings are fairly modern type. What badge and buttons were on the forage cap?

Sorry for the late reply, I wondered what the GSC was and no I didn't see any name in any of the clothing - I did look for one.

The forage cap didn't have a cap badge in it, I don't know about the buttons on it.

I'm told by a relative who has a stall there he's had it since before Christmas, lots of people look but back off as soon as he says the price and he won't budge on it.

I was curious about the GSC titles and the price but it sounds like he's way over the top.
