Help on Glider Badge(s)
Hi. Sometimes British patches stump me and I can't determine if they are original.
I have these Glider badges. I am sure the top one and the one to the right are original. The one on the left has always confused me. The front looks OK. It is a paste back, but the stitching on the back is not crisp. I have it in my repro pile. Please help with your opinions. Thank you!! |

I believe that every badge you show is original and I'd happily add any of them to my collection.
Last year I bought a replica patch (and advertised as such) out of curiosity; it was well made but upon close inspection you could see synthetic fibres. |

William,
IMHO the only original one is the smallest one, bottom right. I have a couple and both are similar to that. regards

Purely from the photographs, I think that they are all period made and original, I like the example on the left, in particular.

They do come up but expect to pay anything from £100 - £180 depending on condition, provenance and who is selling it.
