Default Scottish Badges and Bonnets

Good day

I recently acquired a group of Scottish badges and headdress. These are not my area of collecting so these will be put up for sale.

Firstly the KOSB group. The badge on the bonnet has unusual lugs. Does this help date it?

Thanks folks

Two more hats - Both Officers I think

Should the one without the badge have one?

and finally a 1939 dated sporran. What Regiment? It is missing the metal decoration (don't know what it is called) should I try to find a replacement?

Many thanks for your comments

Hi,
Looks like Leslie tartan, worn by King's Own Scottish Borderers.
Cheers,
Tinto

Thanks Tinto. So it is a Gordon Highlanders hat. But it doesn't have any evidence of a badge ever being mounted. Would this hat have been worn with just the tartan flash?

You need a Sporran Cantle. If Gordons then something like this.

Tim

Hi James,
It may be an unissued bonnet, not usually worn without a badge.

Folks

I'd like to offer these to the forum first but I have no idea what they are worth. I have been told that the KOSB badge is an interesting variation.

Any thoughts on a sensible price for each lot?

Many thanks

James
