Hi, I've had this badge for some time, could it be an unfinished center to the illustrated badge? thanks in advance Mike

Hi fearnaught, it seems what you have is an insignia for the Régiment Colonial de Chasseurs de Chars, according to one source, that were made while the unit was in garrison in Germany post-1945.Some say it could have been used as a beret badge.....

Same badge worn on leather fob.
