Hi Folks,
Any thoughts on this one I picked up from here?(https://www.badgesoftheworld.com/sou...rass-cap-badge) Its slightly smaller than other ones I have seen (3cm across, 2.2. from top of leaf to bottom of stem). Solid brass though. Many thanks, Andrew |

I am of the same opinion and have never seen a bladed one.

Certainly an officers badge which has had the finish completely worn off. These badges can be found in gilt and OSD bronze finish.
OSD cap badges can be found with blade fixings but there are good cast copy repros of these sold by an eBay seller. Personal opinion is it’s a tad expensive for what is very likely a broken officers OSD collar with its finish gone. |

Many thanks all! Glad to know it is (very probably) genuine at least!
