British Colonial Badges - Asia

Hello,

Could the collectors of British Colonial Badges please let me know between what years were these badges worn.

Kedah Volunteer Force - hat and collar (any idea what the translation would be on both the hat and collar).

Penang & Province Wellesley Volunteer Corps - hat and collar.

I would be very grateful for any help provided.
