Here is an interesting piece that I had not seen before. The front of the badge is self explanatory however the reverse it what really caught my attention. As you can see there are 2 warnings regarding wear. $500 fine and or 6 months in the slammer. As well it was made in Chicago Illinois.... has other members encountered this badge before... and should add it is numbered. For some reason I have a duplicate photo in here that will not delete.

Very interesting indeed. Could the "CEF" above the shield mean Canadian Expeditionary Force? That might explain why it was made in Chicago???

Forum member Chipper has this badge in his album with same warning on back.

"Issued to servicemen who had:
Seen active service overseas with the C.E.F and been honourably discharged,
Members of the Imperial forces who were Canadian citizens and returned to Canada post War,
Ex Canadian members of the RAF who were engaged on operational duties."


Also similar style badges from the C.P.F (Canadian Patriotic Fund) .
