Default RWF Badge

Hi to all,

I'm new to the forum so please excuse if this appears as a double post...oops!

I have an RWF badge which has been in my collection for 20 years. It is very clearly a locally made cast badge that has been made in 2 parts. The grenade flames are almost solid and the coronet is in white metal. I'm not a collector of RWF badges, although not seeking to remove it from my collection, but I have little knowledge of RWF history to know where this may have been made?

Does anyone else have something similar in their collection?

Griff

I was RWF for over 12 years and had never seen an Indian (sand) Cast badge until now, but I knew they existed. It looks just as I would expect it too and certainly seems to have the patina of genuine age.

Gents,

Many thanks for your responses. I did feel that it may have been made whilst the battalion(s) were stationed abroad, possibly in India, so it is good to know that this is entirely plausible.
