Below are two memos (held at the National Archives, Kew) from the Director of Ammunition and Stores to the Central Ordnance Depot, Staffs, which I thought might be of interest to some members.
The memos, dated September 1959, reveal the decision not to proceed with the issue of supplementary cloth titles to the three battalions comprising the East Anglia Brigade, which had been intended to be worn below the white on scarlet 'East Anglia' embroidered arm title. It appears that these supplementary titles, had they ever been issued, would have taken the form of numerals I, II and III. (Apologies for the poor image quality). Peter. 59 Sep 01.jpg59 Sep 04.jpg |

Thanks Peter,
Had seen only the title and had not opened as yet, need more rainy days as such a lot of material to take in. I often run a search on a topic of interest to me like a TF battalion badge I am just cataloguing and it is great to read the old posts on it from the search, much to learn, intersting the documents you have turned up, just wish a few Durham or Lincs or Leic items turned up for sale, cheers Dean. |

Couldn't have put it better myself, Dean. Thanks very much for your kind comments, mate.
All the best, Peter. |
