caption on the reverse, "3rd Welsh Guards on exercise Tunisia 2/4/43"

interesting to see the div badge worn at different angles

The Bren Gunner in the first has neither a WG Title or Formation flash!

From what I remember seeing in period photos of the campaign in North Africa, titles and div signs not being worn was the norm. I have pics of my dad in the desert and he has none visible

Nice photos Gerry. I noticed the formation patch's on two of the chaps are the opposite way round to one another ?

Indeed, that was what struck me, no consistency on how it was worn, even on the same arm, as they were not "handed" which must have made it awkward for the other arm.

I have seen this this formation sign worn with the fist forward and backward before as well. I still do not know which was the proper way.
