unknown rifles badge
hi all
any idea what this large badge is? doesnt seem to have had any fixing items. as you can see its pretty big and heavy. 2 manufacturers stamps. one unknown? the other SLINGSBY NUNEATON Henry Slingsby, of Seymour Road, Nuneaton. Manufacturers of Masonic and Friendly Societies; college and school; ribbons, regalias, jewels and banners; also hat bands, badges, etc. 1843 Established by Henry Slingsby. 1912 Incorporated as a Limited Company. as this badge doesnt have the Ltd could it be pre 1912? anyway, thanks in advance BC |

Its a badge worn on different regalia by the Knights of the Golden Horn who originated from the RAOB in the late 19th century.
They were last practicing in 2005 so it can date between c. 1880 and 2005. regards
