42nd Officers full dress sword belt of regimental pattern circa 1855-75.
1 1/2 inch wide black leather belt with two stripes of gold braid, now faded and with heavy service wear. Circular gilt locket bearing thistle design with acanthus leaves terminals and stamped with matching bench mark 4. Locket mounted with a silver stylized St. Andrew's Cross upon the Order of The Thistle Star.

42nd Sgt 1856. Although not a clear image I believe this man is wearing the style of badge shown below. It is much more upright than the usuall enlongated style of bonnet badge.

Pewter beer pint mug with glass bottom. Stamped to the base Jewelars Ltd India English Pewter 2960. Engraved on the body a 42 star badge and inscription 2745610 Sert Lamond D 1-4-23, 1st Bn stationed in Quetta at this time.
Suppliment to the London Gazette 2nd June 1943.
2745610 Doey Ferguson Lamond WO1.

Sgts overlay that has lost its star, gilt all gone and a bit grubby but fixing tabs still present. Silver numerals sweated on from the front.
