How to install the screw back badges?
Yes, this has been driving me insane..
I really can't figure out how to put on these badges: http://imagehost.epier.com/113192/kntscrxss1.jpg http://www.shopbulgaria.com/files/pr...000_z13010.jpg http://www.snyderstreasures.com/eBay...x/DSCN0836.JPG http://www.milimem.com/images/B10.015c.jpg http://www.panzermeyerhelmets.com/panzer%202%20520.jpg etc.... I hope someone can tell me, because I really need it. I need it for a project, but I have no idea how to put them on. I googled for like an hour but found nothing. thanks. |

What are you trying to install the badges to?
It looks fairly simple just make a hole and put the post through and re attach the screw on base, or am I missing something? Jack |

Make a hole in the correct place, push the screw through the hole and turn the plate onto the screw.

Was in a rush, so I didn't even re read it.
This is what I meant: How to put the whole in the clothes, if you don't have the proper equipment.. you know.. It's like a fat, er, thing with a screw.. So yeah.. I tried pinning it on the vest, but I couldn't :| I just got told to wear the badge, and when I saw it I was like "What the ****?". Quote:
EDIT: Oh.. That's probably it.. I just checked the pictures and it seems like mine is damaged.. crap. Last edited by Bill A; 02-12-10 at 12:17 AM. Reason: Remove inappropriate language. |

I'm still confused - are we talking about fitting to a uniform? - if you don't want to get reinforced eyelets put in clothing then tack on a small piece of cloth with stitching & make the hole to fix the badge in that.
If a badge is damaged either solder on a suitable fixing, depending on the item itself & how good you are at solderinhg or send the badge to a specialist for a good quality repair. The combat infantryman badge has been repaired, badly - a butterfly pin fitting's come off & somebody's soldered a screw psot to it rather than repair the pin fitting, so problem solved there. Where are the actual badges, they are from different countries & different periods & the photos appear to be from different dealers sites? |

Tankie, agreed, it is not necessary nor polite.
I'm not adverse to bad language myself, but it is not necessary to reply in posts like it, thanks Bill for the edit. ErrorGuy (Errorproneguy? lol) have you read the forum rules? Tom |
