Default RAF Cap Button "STARTIN BIRMINGHAM"?

A 14mm King's Crown RAF button, can anyone make out the back mark please?
I read it as "STARTIN BIRMINGHAM", "STAR TIN BIRMINGHAM" or similar.

Spartin? There are directions on the MOOVIT website for getting public transport to Spartin & Co West Midlands?

David.

Try a suede brush on the backmark to make the lettering clearer.

I have the same RAF button. Startin, Birmingham.

It could be wartime manufacturing by a company specialised in completely different products.
