It looks like the fashion type buttons that are put on some of the lookalike military jackets. Does it have a hollow back and long single loop?

No it has a solid back like normal Military buttons and the same loop attachment on the rear .

Spencer, have had this message via the contact us form. I assume it refers to this button.

Please inform Spencer who posted an unknown button in February, that this is of the Spanish Army Engineers of the 1860-1931 period.

I'm in too many forums to join this one too, so I hope that the reply helps.
