Default Helmet insignia, need help

Hi,
I've recently found this nice preserved helmet in a dig in Normandy but i need help to identify the unit flash. It's not common in circle, my first idea was RASC or Pioneer but the circle make think to another unit.
If anybody have an idea

Hi,
The Green and red matches to the Pioneer corps, especially red in front and green in back. That's the flash' form who's uncommon for me.
Thanks to the heavy sand paint who preserved the helmet

If the 'red' half is actually brown, it could be 1st Notts and Derby, WW1.
