PS: has anybody seen evidence of the badge being worn on a black beret?

I checked with my source. Please find attached some pictures of the black beret with M&M badge. This was picked up together with the sand beret straight from the 21 stores in 1996.

He will verify the exact colour of the beret also: black or dark blue.

The beret is a very dark blue. This one came via a 21 PSI in 1996. My understanding that this beret was only worn that year.

Hi Andy,

You are quite correct! My source confirmed it is indeed
dark blue. And yes: shortlived.

Good thing we can now be sure the M&M
beret badge was indeed worn for a period of about one year in 1996 and on both sand and dark blue beret.
