Thanks Gerard, as I suspected, I have a couple more that I'm sure are fakes but unfortunately don't have any one to show them to here in Greece which is why I keep bombarding forum members so many thanks

Whilst it is a very well made badge it is not one accepted as a period badge.

That's why I listed this one first as it does seem well made the next couple don't look as good.

A copy. The genuine ones were likely to be standard vertical shanked badges with a RND s/t added.

Where have you been buying these from, I wonder, buying on line for a pittance is one thing, but, if someone has actually sold you all those face to face and stated or implied that they were original they should hang their head in shame.
