Wanted: Australian made King's crown RN button
After a recent post on this subject, someone wrote to me with a scan of a KC Royal Navy button made by Stokes Melbourne. Until now I have always wondered if they exist.
Has anyone got a spare? Thanks |

I have 7 of them, large size
Made by Stokes & Sons Melbourne. New Zealand got a lot of Naval uniform supplies from Australia and as we used RN buttons, I think they were made especially for the NZ market. They will be be common here. I also have some PO buttons made in USA. Marked "Waterbury Buttons Co. made in USA" Barry |

I have checked my uniform collection and found that 2 officers reefers have full sets of buttons made by Stokes.

Thanks for the info, never seen an RN button by Chorley. I now have a Stokes in KC and QVC, also QVC by David Jones Sydney.
Let me know if you ever have a spare Chorley. Kingsley |
