Default TF - Royal Berkshire Rgt.

Could someone tell me if the 4th Bn, the Royal Berkshire Regiment, was the only TF battalion in this regiment, please?

With thanks,

Yes but no!

There was only the 4th TF Bn. However it had 3 battalions. 1/4, 2/4 and 3/4th.

Your man has the Imperial service badge so was a pre-war Territorial.

Three battalions within the 4th TF Battalion. Yes, I see what you mean, Alan. Thanks.

Do you have a date for it? Certainly post 1910 and nothing that he is wearing that dates it post 1914/15; but then he could have still been wearing his pre war uniform in UK if he had not stayed with the 1st/4th.

No, it's a shame there is no inscription or any kind of indication of date other than what the image itself might be telling us.
