Light Infantry unidentified

Can anyone shed some light on this please. I was told it is an old Sherwood Rangers badge but it’s not in my books

The design is for the Scottish Rifles - the Cameronians.

Hi Barney, i cant say whether its genuine or not. But SR is the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles ).
