It is normal for the standard badge. Why is this one 4VB? Its there an overlaid scroll on the front?

I can only see 2 images of the back.
Nice early long slider with a crimp. Patina and strike look good for an early badge too. I cannot see a braze hold behind the acorn as I would expect on an early example so assume this is an all WM badge? Interestingly I can see what appears to be silvery braze (seen on some Victorian badges) where the star tips join the scroll where. Nice to see.
My great uncle was in 1/4 Cheshires when killed in action near Ypres, in October 1918.
