Good to know an early issue DPM. You know its machine embroidered with wax paper backing. cheers mate Phill |

I think it's later than that purely because such patches were not widely used in 1991 and the standard patch on DPM was much later.

Do you think early Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan? Would it still be UK Joint Forces HQ? cheers Phill |

Alan is correct, desert dpm clothing was quite slow to arrive in theatre in GW1 (which was 31 years ago!). I recall that a desert dpm uniform was procured quickly for the Senior RAF officer who was appointed as the Force HQ spokesperson and appeared regularly on TV news bulletins.

The majority of these that you see will have been manufactured by Lancashire Embroidery as private purchase items.
There were a few in their attic when I and another forumite cleared them out some time ago. |

Thanks Cest-Insignia
Can you tell me what years these would of been worn and also was it still attributed to UK Joint Forces HQ. With this being private puchase, would this be considered limited supply and rare Formation sign(?) for the modern era. cheers Phill |
