Size is 40mm x 46mm approx.

Many thanks for the reply and identification. Not military then.

I had consulted Mr Google using the motto and come up with various references to Renfrewshire but had no success in finding a crest.

Just a suggestion: I don't know if Renfrewshire Constabulary had a pipe band, but if they did could it be a sporran badge?
