WW2 German army pin - Iron Cross related?
Attached is a photo of a pin which, given responses to my previous post, suggests it is from the German Army WW2. It measures 2cm x 1.5cm, black edge, then white, then "faded orange"...colours not dissimilar to ribbon described as 1939 Iron Cross. Did the medal come with a pin? Grateful for help in identifying. Thanks.

It's the ribbon of the WWII era Iron Cross 2nd Class, by the look of it, the red faded? A smaller size than the ribbon of the actual award, probably worn in civilian clothes by a vetetan as a form of "buttonhole".

The early Deumer Schinkel crosses came with an orange middle stripe, so it may be associated with that. It does look like a medal bar size, but I am no expert.
