This is some excellent discussion , and the information giving the official army terms for the various colors/colours is great!

It does bring to mind one question for me however. How do you tell the difference between RAMC Dull Cherry and Parachute Maroon? Does somebody have something with these two colors that can be side by side for comparison?

Thanks,

Terry

Terry,

Parachute Regiment & AAC didnt wear maroon backings, it was light blue.

Hi Simon, thank you! I guess I am confusing the maroon as being from the Parachute title and beret. I knew the Air Corps wore light blue, but was not aware the jumpers did too.

Default Rank badges

These cards may be of use. I collect rank insignia and create the cards as a reference for what is in the collection. Any corrections are most welcome. (Its the only way to learn!!)

Madziro,

Those are excellent. I print and keep my info in binders, which has worked nicely for me.

Again, nice piece of work!
