Default LRDG collection

herewith James MacKenzie's LRDG-related items, many of which he has recently sold. the Popski's badge is a 1970's commemorative restrike, hallmarked Birmingham.

Many thanks for sharing this very interesting image Jonathan - your posts are always appreciated - Mike

I meant to ask - is the second wing down on the left an LRDG variant? I think I have seen one before, possibly in your LRDG Book.
I am yet to find a copy of your later LRDG Rhodesia Book ... they are superb publications.

Hi Mike
All five wings depicted are LRDG wings and four of them belong to the same person, Bawden.

I was not sure the second one was LRDG - Many thanks for the clarification, quite a variety as with the other insignia too
Regards
Mike

Default LRDG badges

thanks for your kind comments.
the downswept wings were issue from the PTS at Ramat David.
recruits in 43 went there first before going to Italy with the LRDG
logically there would not have been given Raiding Forces blue wings
recuits in 44 went to the PTS at Goia in Southern Italy before joining LRDG
