Default Belt?

Jo:
Yet another great photo with lots of detail. Thank you for that. I was looking at the fellow in the back row #5 from the left and wondering about the belt he was wearing. It is clearly not the "08" pattern, nor is it one of the darker leather belts. It almost has more in common with the "37" pattern web belt, but clearly not that. Was there an interim web style belt issued or tested? in any event it is a real pleasure to look at these photos, the more you look the more you see.

Don,about the web belt you have mentioned...is it just possible that's a Mills Equipment belt more commonly known as Pattern '13

Default 1913 Belt

Jo:
Thank you for that. I have never seen the 1913 pattern belt. It is an interesting piece and I think I now see where the inspiration for the 1937 pattern came from. I thought that the Mills belt had all of the holes in it to accommodate the wire attaching fixtures of that system. Really appreciate the introduction to that reference site.
