Default 299 Signal Squadron (Special Communications)

A slightly more unusual modern one for you.

I've put this in the SF section because if any of the more 'special' Signals Squadrons deserve that moniker CCXCIX do...

Together with the now pretty common SFC wings.

A very short lived badge and hardly worn. It was one of those OC's ego trip badges that was soon removed and replaced by a Signal Brigade badge,

Quite - I don't think I ever met a member of 1 Sigs/299 in uniform at all during my service anyway....

It was worn by the OC and RSM.

Thought it was forum policy not to publish anything on any current units.
The UK does not comment on any units that may or may not exist and may or may not wear any badges at all.

The Unit is not part of the UKSF and the badge is obsolete so is not worn so I don't think that there is any OPSEC or PERSEC issues with showing a badge that is neither SF or worn today.

They're on the Army website, so clearly HMG does comment on this particular unit.
