Default 9th Lancers - q/c badge

Does anyone have a genuine 9th Lancers Q/C cap badge I cold see? I have this one but it has no makers name and is semi solid but does have an interesting strenghtening bar.

Default strengtheners

below two pictures of 9th reverse
fist "WM" from my grand father collection (for me genuine 100%)
second economie "gilding" buy in GB for a few pouds (for me genuine 10%)---poor definition on reverse ...

the 2 badges had strengtheners (but not the same size ! )....for me , fakers have copy the reverse of the genuine badges

badges with stengtheners are not a 100% genuine, but are not 100% copy too

cheers

Just to add confusion, here is mine. Three loops and strengtheners across the lances. I have always regarded this as suspect.

Hi John
You are right to regard it as suspect as it is a restrike IMO,the discolouration,3 lugs and the brass strenghtening bars are the give away.
There was no need for the QVC badge with 4 lugs to have strenghtening bars,on the KC yes because of the slider.

My KC example.

Are we then to assume that the examples with brass full length strengthening bars are fake, even on KC badges?

Hi Alan

I have one exactly the same as yours in all respects and it does have the rather overweight strengthening bar, flattened towards the ends, as your photo shows. This was given to me by an officer serving in the Regiment very shortly after the amalgamation with the 12th Lancers and I have never doubted its authenticity.

Gordon,

Thank you very much for taking the time to let me know; especially with such promising comments.

Anyone up for this? I have noticed a fair amount of KC 9L badges in white metal with full length brass bars. The badges seem to be rather poor strikes.
