Australian Signallers Badge White Metal
Dear BC
Would dearly love to see your white metal version. My guru Cliff Lord has never mentioned a white metal version. He has told me of a white metal version of the Royal Australian Signals Badge without the scroll underneath circa 1930's again I have never seen one. He has also told me of a Red Enamaalled Australian Corps of Signals badge like the Blue and Red one I have on my little site www.signalsbadges.co.uk but I have never seen one of these either. Look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks Chris |

white metal aussie sigs hat badge
Hi Chris
As promised here is the white metal hat badge. The metal has turned a little tarnished/discoloured, but it is what it is. I often wonder though that some of the older badges were nikel plated before being gilt plated. I have heard this could account for the odd white metal badges, when they were in fact never finished off? I don't believe though the sigs badge came gilt plated? Who knows bc |

hi chris
i am glad you like the pic. i bought the badge in a big group of mixed commonwealth badges several years ago. it came with a wireless section officers enamel badge and 2 types of enameled crossed flags. blue and white and red and white. i think the pics of the badges are on this site somewhere. the orriginal owner was an nco with the sigs at galipolli and was commisioned in france a little later. he ended up serving into the early 20s. as for the red enamel hat badge, i have heard but have never seen an example bc |
