Out of curiosity was there a rationale behind the 'brigade' system? After all there was already the Regimental system.
The normal rotations to established operational formations overseas would seem to make an administrative formation a bit like the fifth wheel. Or were they trying to get people used to the 'big' regiments of the amalgamated future? Keith |
